I have always struggled with waiting. I mean, isn't it always every girl's dream to find her Prince Charming and run off into the sunset with a happily ever after? I had that dream and thought I would have found him by now and we would be planning our fairy tale wedding. However, this is not reality and is not God's plan for me in this moment. Right now my calling is to be single and share this journey that God is taking me on. I am so excited to share the things that God speaks to me on this topic so I can help other women in their own journey through singlehood. On another note, I believe the things I am sharing can also benefit those in relationships or who are married, because these things do not just apply to those who are single.
I want to leave you with the link to the song and also with Isaiah 40:31.
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Yes, not just for singles like you said Bekka. Many times I am still waiting on the Lord, too.
ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite post so far. I've been in different friendships/relationships before and they've often really distracted me from hearing God's voice in my life.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading your blog posts they've really helped me to see that waiting on God, and worshipping him while I am on my journey through life trying to figure out who God wants me to be, is the best thing to do. In the times when I wasn't so distracted with other people in my life and felt the closest to God was when I felt the most content and blessed. He truly does bring great things to the ones who intently wait on him.
Being single is a blessing because we have one of the best chances in our lives to really get to know God one on one. It's all a blessing in itself!! So thanks for posting what God has been laying on your heart. It is so encouraging and uplifting!
